Its always something to write down your thoughts, days, or randomness. For me its stress relieving. With each word written, my thoughts are tucked away and no longer constantly flowing through my head. Present Moments are weekly recaps of whats going on in my world. From recaps of my week. Reads I can’t put down. New eats and drinks I have discovered. What’s on my binge watching list. And quotes that relate to my mood and thoughts.
This week has been all about planning. Planning for this blog and the direction it will go in 2018. Allowing me to keep up my 2018 goals. I’ve been able to get ahead with my blog posts, create a post schedule for all of the blogs posts to post in February, and booked my trip to Washington D.C. All while balancing my life and my full-time career.
In an effort to keep up with challenging myself to read one book each week, I am reading The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Life. I picked this book up on the title alone. I am at a point to where I being more selective about what bothers me and how I respond to it. The book is pretty straightforward and has brief moments that make you laugh at the authors directness.
This past weekend, I enjoyed some alligator boulettes from Rikenjaks in Lake Charles, La while visiting my family. It was delicious, tasty. It has the texture of a crab cake that was deep fried. Instead of crab, it was alligator chunks, rice and cheese. Yummy! Something like boudin, if you have tried it. Read about my experience.
Lately I have been binge watching Shameless. Now I know I am behind- 8 seasons to be exact. But I love that show! Its full of dysfunctional people and families. Trying to make it and survive at the game of life. It has a good balance of humor, crudeness, life lessons, and scandalousness. Lol! What are you currently watching? Any recommendations?
