I was in Las Vegas for a few days attending a travel conference. Though tied up with the conference, I tried take in this lively city as much as I could. I will say this… I will definitely be back. To me, Vegas is a city that never sleeps. It stays busy round the clock. I arrived pretty early to get a little sightseeing and was amazed at how people where still hustling and bustling along the strip like it never took a pause to rest its eyes.

Though this city stays busy year round, it is worth noting that the best time to go is during the Spring and Fall months, especially if you want to explore the outdoors. Lower prices tend to be more during the week, than the higher prices on the weekends and major holidays.

www.mccaran.com

Just a short distance from the southern end of the Strip, McCarran’s airport code is LAS. Most major domestic and international airlines fly into Las Vegas. It is worth noting that whether you are arriving or waiting for your plane, slot machines are sprinkled through out the terminal. I guess they wanted to give you every opportunity to try your luck. Viva Las Vegas!

Located in the desert, Las Vegas tends to have wacky weather. It ranges from really hot to breezy and cold. In the summer months, it can get as high as the triple digits or as low as 30° F at night. During my visit, it was cool and breezy, pleasant for walking the Strip. If traveling in the month of March, it is wise to pack a light jacket. Be sure to check the weather prior to coming, to ensure the correct clothing is packed.

Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino

3655 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas, NV

(877) 796-2096

www.caesars.com/paris-las-vegas

I stayed in the Paris Casino and Hotel. I have never to Paris, but it’s any indication of the detail placed in this Casino, I have an idea. The Casino boasted a replica of the Eiffel Tower that you could go up to the top floor and see awesome views of the Strip and surrounding areas. Read my review of the Paris Las Vegas Casino and Hotel.

After getting settled, I decided to check out the Strip. This in itself was interesting. I loved the fact that each Casino and Hotel had its own vibe, nothing like the hotel to its left or right. Careful detail is placed in each theme. During this trip I only had time to explore some of the Strip. As stated, I will be back.

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden

The Wildlife Habitat @ the Flamingo

3555 Las Vegas Boulevard South

Las Vegas, NV

(702) 733-3111

www.caesars.com/flamingo-las-vegas

Cost: Free

Madame Tussands

3377 S.
