This merger has finally concluded at work. It has definitely been an overwhelming process. I have been told that I will be a key player in this transition process and they would like to be a part of the team. The week has been quote in limbo as I do not know what my responsibilities are with the formation of the new company. I low-key feel as though I am talking a demotion. Who knows?! I am prepared for the future, always keeping my options open. 

I will say that I always welcome change. Sometimes its the changes that are out of our control that can be blessings in disguise. That’s how I’m looking at this change, a blessing. Series of changes that may lead to a better me, or not. Either way, I’m ready. 

I finally finished Season 3 of 13 Reasons Why. That season was so intense! I have never experienced so many different emotions: happiness, anger, aggravation, hurt, etc. It’s graphic, but worth a watch. 

Completed the limited series of Unbelievable. Unspeakable crime. Police coercion to get a victim to change their story. 

Felt empowered watching Angela Bassett’s acceptance speech for her #BlackGirlsRock award.

 

Im so excited! One of my favorite shows has started with a new season – American Horror Story: 1984.

This last week has been something for the books. The merger (aka hostile takeover) that my company is going through is finalizing in the next coming weeks. It has been very overwhelming as this is my first time being apart of a merger/acquisition. Their first order of business is to lay people off in our headquarters and a layer of supervisors. Most of us have been there for a very long time and it’s been quite nerve wracking because you are unsure if you are going to be on the chopping block. I’m curious about the direction they will lead us and nervous about my potential future.
